- Coaching is not counseling for people who have problems. Coaching is for leaders who want to improve their performance. Perhaps they want to sharpen their skills or recognize that they are hindering their advancement in some way. Even professional athletes have coaches to help them improve performance.
- We begin the coaching relationship with a discussion of client’s needs and goals. We will incorporate such instruments as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the EQ-i 2.0 assessment of emotional intelligence in order to identify patterns and trends; strengths, vulnerabilities, and biases; and areas of self-sabotage. Through a series of discussions and experiential and reflective exercises clients practice maximizing their strengths and mitigating their vulnerabilities on the pathway toward personal change.
- For maximum benefit, coaching clients should consider a commitment of at least six months to develop new patterns of behavior. Contact us to discuss a personalized coaching arrangement.
